  • Biography

    Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Richard Crozier earned a BFA from the University of Washington in Seattle and went on to study with Wayne Thiebaud at the University of California, Davis, earning an MFA in painting. He was a well known and loved professor of Art at the University of Virginia from 1974 – 2010.  His work has been in countless exhibitions and is in many private and public collections including the J.B. Speed Museum, Louisville, Ky and the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art in Winston-Salem, NC. His art is also the subject of a book by Thomas Bowlt and it has been reviewed in magazines such as Arts Magazine and Art in America.
